Hi everyone! We are just back from exploring the best Portugal coast has to offer. With the rain due back in the UK this trip was well timed, and the weather remained good throughout. The area has a wealth of opportunities for varied activities from watersports to mountain biking and everything in between.
These photos are a quick preview with a full ride guide coming soon full of ideas for places to visit in the area. More soon!

Hi everyone! What a great weekend of weather! Hope everyone got out on their bikes whether it road, mountain bike or anything in between. I was at the Cycle Law Scotland sponsored Tweedlove event Skinny Tweed. A bit different for me as road events are not normally my area, however, as per all Tweedlove events this was another great day.
Photos from the event can be found here. The sportive was 75km looping from Peebles to Biggar with approximately 630m of climbing. The route used a number of quiet roads past Stobo and Dreva with some challenging climbs and a stop half way to refuel. It was great to see so many people really enjoying their time exploring the Tweed Valley road network. After spectating at this sportive I also caught the end of Air Maiden, another event happening as part of the Tweedlove Festival. It is great to see the event running again in Scotland. If you are a woman wanting to try out mountain biking event with top coaches then this is the event to try. Hopefully it will return again in the freestyle format in 2017. More soon! Hi everyone! This weeks #snapshotsunday is looking at a new line of women's clothing from Ride It.
Ride It is a Scottish brand which continues to grow and grow in popularity from elite enduro racers to weekend warriors all seen wearing the distinctive colours. The women's jerseys are another step in the right direction for the brand, and with 2 colour bright colour options, there is a colour to suit everyone. The jersey has many of the same features of the men's range, with an integral glasses wipe and side pocket both key additions to make riding in the jersey easier. The main difference however is the more tailored fit and more accurate sizing specific to women rather than baggy oversized men's wear. The other benefit with this also is the sleeve fitting - the sleeves are narrower and so when pushed up they stay up, without putting too much pressure on your forearms. The jersey has side vents which will make this a great jersey for summer riding, however with a baselayer underneath this jersey is also great for this time of the year riding. The material has been durable for rides so far and after a few washes is still looking bright. Key features that I like: - The glasses wipe attached to the inside of the jersey - The side pocket (it fits an iPhone 6) - The sleeves - they stay in place when pushed up What could be better: - MORE colour options - so I can justify buying more! - Matching shorts Overall as far as women's jerseys go, for size and quality you will struggle to find a better jersey. #rideitlikeagirl More soon! |
