Hi everyone! The weather is making the trails so dry at the moment, always great to ride and not end up in muddy clothes! Thomas and I decided to have a look at the different ways we corner the other day, and its super interesting to see the different styles we have. We both are on Kona Process 153s, although slightly different suspension setup, so it really shows the difference in approach.
I completed a course at Dirt School last week and it was super interesting to see how many bad habits I have picked up over time, and how little needs to be done to make huge improvements to my riding. The team over at Dirt School know their stuff and are really supportive in what they coach. I did the Trail Craft course as I wanted to improve my drop technique and overall riding position. Looking at this photo which was taken just before the course, I think my position has changed a lot. My level of lower limb fatigue has also reduced with the changed position, with straighter legs rather than the previous crouch which I had got used to rather than using my upper body to absorb some of the trail. It is so interesting to be coached on the basics, it really gets you thinking so more about every movement you make on the bike.
Now to go ride some sunny trails while the weather is so good...
