Hi everyone! Had a quiet while on the blog as I took a break from social media instead getting out and enjoying the amazing weather. Lots of that to post about in the next while though.
This weeks #snapshotsunday is my new bike - Kona Process 153 DL in Purple/Green. I had hoped to get photos of it once it was built, but I just wanted to get out on it, so the bike is slightly muddy! At the moment the bike is stock (apart from the mudguard), but I have plans to change a few things to make it like I want. So far though I am so impressed with it - climbs well and descends fast. The RRP is £4199, with a Rockshox Pikes and Monarch suspension setup, with Maxxis Minion 650Bs front and rear. The frame is 6061 Aluminium and has 2 colour options: Purple/Green or Purple/Red/Orange. The bike has X1 drivetrain, and I don't normally run SRAM, so it will be interesting to see how it compares over the coming weeks. It also has the one ring at the front (32t), and I previously ran a double, so this will also be different. The brakes however are Shimano XT so there is a mix of manufacturers making an all round good setup. Overall, if you are looking for a good spec Enduro bike that will tackle trails from natural trails to sculpted trail centres with the option of taking the bike for some summer chairlift riding, then you have the perfect bike. More soon!
